Our basement flooded. And so it was easy to rationalize getting rid of things once they were damaged by the water. Dawn said all things go to the basement to die.
There’s a basement inside us where we keep things, too. Some people drink and drug to help process what’s down there, because they don’t know what else to do about it.
If what you have in storage gets damaged or carried away by a storm, you don’t need to deal with it yourself. The decision’s already been made for you.

It is so much easier to get rid, when damaged but that’s just the not sure things , should I keep them? Or should I say good bye? I would cry if the I want to keep forever pile got damaged x

Personally I find some folks have more trash in their bottomless basement than they ought. Great analogy .

Sometimes there is a sigh of relief when a decision is taken out of your hands. I like the analogy. I wish our garage could flood.
