  1. Great story! This image looks like a person wearing a mask–like one of the African masks my dad collected–painterly.

    • Nice! I see that A, I had to snap that odd tree. Glad you liked it, thanks! Reminds me of the mask on your avatar thingy. Bill

      • That mask is something–one of my favorites! We have sooooooooooo many masks. You should see them– they are like people staring at you from the moment you walk into the house. Last week, a plumber said, “These masks of yours are spirits– you know?!” And guess what– that evening I actually saw a spirit or something in the house. The “spirit” was an East Indian looking man– wearing a turban and long dress-like outfit (kurta?). Super tall and fit with a slim handle bar mustache–no beard. He was walking in a very determined manner holding a book or some kind of paperwork. Then he stopped suddenly and disappeared from the right side up. Kookaburra was skittish for a few days after that. I think he’s gone now. I seriously think he was a time traveller. And somehow his coordinates got mixed up. Crazy, huh!

      • We have Kuchina dolls (may be misspelling that) from southwest American Indians and I suspect they are “charged” too. Though no spirits yet, none in that form. Kind of grateful not. Maybe my reception is off.

  2. If the East Indian man comes back–I’ll send him your way 🙂 He didn’t seem like a bad guy–just lost maybe? Your Kachinas will protect you.
