The screen has gone white, and snow is expected to return. The commuters are back, and make sounds like waves against the wall, below. It is just me and the heater, with the tick-tock of a clock, the Christmas tree, and moments before light enters house. The cat stirs, then snores.

Thank you for the reminder. I will have to tell my partner. She is the one who gave me “Letters To A Young Poet.” It was her way to inspire me. That was many years ago but I read through the pages when I need to. I keep finding reminders of Rilke everywhere, peace jk
