Yesterday we got to see two speakers for the upcoming TEDx in Seattle. Both were featured in the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40” awards for 2013.
One has founded a company focused on clean water for children in urban areas, in Asia and East Africa.
Eric played a video he shot in Cambodia, depicting kids lined up at a pipe with large plastic water jugs, taking turns filling their containers.
The teacher cuts in line to gather water for her elementary school students, and walks back and forth to and from the school carrying the water, many times throughout the day. She uses a blue measuring cup to dole out a cup of water to each student: they open their mouth as she pours.
People who commit themselves to this work are true heroes; they shine a light on our world and help the rest of us to see.

I agree with the “hero” part. Today’s apostles, doing Jesus’ work. How selfless!

It was a fantastic presentation. And very effective marketing. And I love the quote he used from MLK, Jr.
