Your web is a trap

I’ve compared writers to spiders before: I like that the words rhyme and they have unusual things in common.

Both generally hide in the corners waiting, watching. We build fantastic traps to catch our prey, then slowly suck the life out of them.

The thing about writing, music, painting…is to not get stuck in your own web. It’s not the size of your web or where you set up, it’s your ability to abandon it and go build somewhere else, over and over again.
