A guest post by William Pearse (pinklightsabre)

Check out this post my friend Kevin Brennan featured today on his blog, WHAT THE HELL. It’s an account of my first job as a professional editor for Starbucks, in the late 90s — a post Kevin copyedited for me and posted as a guest blog. Kevin has set up a service for indie authors (he is one himself) at http://www.indiescribable.com; I plan to work with him when my manuscript is complete this year.

  1. Still sounds like you. How heavy was the edit?

  2. Agreed that it sounds like you, and I also recognize the you from the you that I know about you from your you posts. Also agreed that it was a good edit. Felt polished and focused. When did you write that, if you don’t mind me asking? Felt pretty recent, but feelings can be superimposed by people who think they know things, like me. Just curious. Enjoyed this one quite a bit. Well done.

    • Thank you friend. I wrote it last week. Lost in Yes now, gotta go (it’s urgent!). Glad you could check it out and enjoyed it. Set that alarm…..

  3. I quite liked it. It was still Bill, with the stream of consciousness and the punctuation and the imagery, but more structured and polished which appeals to an old programmer.
