You will go much further than you ever thought before you stop.
You will even think I should quit, and yet you will keep going.
You will do it time and again, and then you will say enough, you’ll stop for good.
Then you will get back on and start again. It will be like a roller coaster ride, thrilling and sickening each time.
Each time climbing as the rails squeak, falling just like before.
You, getting in and out of the bucket seats. You, fastening your seatbelt. You, well, there is less of you as a result. You become what you do.
You are not as much in control of your thoughts as you’d like to think.
Somewhere is a control tower and someone with a face you will never see.
You need to get into that control tower and have a good talk with that person. They can’t be trusted.
You know better.

I’m grateful for your insights.
