This time on earth

img_8123Where does it go, when the hair recedes—and why does it leave?

And will I go like that too, without any notice

but more a long, slow fade

like snow thawing in a field—

And are we just that then, coming and going?

The right combination of elements

reincorporated,

our season of being, now.

  2. Sounds like a Raymond Chandler book: The Long, Slow Fade. Or a Jay Farrar album.

I heard it’s better to burn out than to fade away.

  3. I can think of someone who might know the answer to all this, but Elvis has left the building.
